Access to fictional special committees, including at least one you cannot name
Formal permission to disagree with junior Gaddi holders
The right to say "Hum dekh lein gay" and have it minuted as an action item

Priority consideration in all imaginary Bakra-related matters
The authority to call a meeting and then not attend it

Extremely rare ceremonial status. The Darbar's highest honour that still fits on a certificate.

A grand royal certificate, landscape, with the full ceremonial border
Permanent listing among senior fictional Darbar personalities
Ceremonial authority to establish unnecessary subcommittees at will
Permission to announce "Faisla ho chuka hai" without explaining the decision
The right to enter any room and have chai arrive before you sit

What Each Appointment Means

Gaddi-e-Aam

گدی عامOpen. Suspiciously open.

The foundational appointment, conferred upon anyone who has demonstrated a willingness to sit down and be addressed respectfully. Holders of the Gaddi-e-Aam form the broad base of the Darbar and are regularly thanked in speeches they are not invited to attend.

گدی خاصLimited. Genuinely, this time.

Awarded to individuals who have shown sustained commitment to the Darbar's core activity, which is sitting. The Gaddi-e-Khaas is the first rank at which one may meaningfully sigh during a meeting and have it recorded in the minutes.

Priority seating at imaginary gatherings, two rows from the front
A decorative gold-framed digital certificate, issued instantly
Access to fictional special committees, including at least one you cannot name
Formal permission to disagree with junior Gaddi holders
The right to say "Hum dekh lein gay" and have it minuted as an action item

Gaddi-e-Aala

گدی اعلیٰRare. Subject to cushion supply.

The Gaddi-e-Aala is conferred sparingly, upon those whose presence alone is sufficient to delay a meeting by forty minutes. Holders receive a personal honorary title which they are encouraged to use on wedding invitations, business cards and, where structurally feasible, their gate.

The Gaddi-e-Azam exists at the outer limit of what the Darbar is prepared to put in writing. Holders are listed among senior fictional Darbar personalities, consulted on matters of great ceremonial weight, and are permitted to conclude any discussion unilaterally.

The Allocation Process

From Arzi to Faisla

The process is documented below in full. The documentation is not binding on the committees, which do as they see fit.

Submit Your Arzi
Four steps, several unnecessary questions, and one that actually decides it. Your answers never leave your browser.
Bakra Verification
Your pledged livestock is queued for fictional visual inspection. Inspection consists of looking, followed by nodding.
Committee Referral
Your file is referred to a committee, which refers it to a second committee constituted to review the first.
Ceremonial Outcome
A status is conferred. Where the outcome is favourable, it will be announced as "Faisla ho chuka hai" and not explained.

There is no deadline, because there is no process. There are, however, only three cushions left at the highest tier, and that figure has not moved in some time.
