Nothing on this page is an investment, a security, a partnership interest, or an offer of any kind. No money is taken or requested, no returns are promised or implied, and no interest in land, livestock or any enterprise is created. Contributions are denominated in Bakra Points — a fictional unit that cannot be bought, sold or redeemed. This is satire.

The Bakra Farming JV is the Darbar's oldest and least understood venture. Partners contribute imaginary goats to a central imaginary herd, which is then managed by the Department of Bakra Verification using a counting method that has never been written down. The herd has grown every year since inception. The herd has also shrunk every year since inception. Both figures are published, and both are considered correct.
Imaginary goats may go up as well as down. Mostly they go sideways, towards the neighbour's field.

The ceremonial beverage network linking every courtyard, veranda and corridor of the 489 kanals, operating at a permanent and celebrated loss.

The Royal Chai Distribution JV maintains the Darbar's most critical infrastructure. At any hour, somewhere on the estate, chai is being prepared for someone who said they were leaving. Partners oversee kettle allocation, biscuit protocol, and the long-running doctrinal dispute over whether Kashmiri chai belongs at ceremonial events. The dispute is now in its fourth decade and is considered a feature.
Operations are loss-making by design. The loss is the hospitality.

Under the Gaddi Franchise JV, a partner may establish a recognised ceremonial seat in their own city, operating under the Darbar's name, colours and general air of unexplained authority. Franchisees receive a certificate, a protocol manual nobody has read, and the right to hold their own ceremonies — provided no ceremony clashes with a ceremony at the main Darbar, a condition that is impossible to verify.
Territory boundaries are defined by a map that was last updated verbally.

The Langar Partnership JV oversees the preparation and ceremonial distribution of fictional food. Its operations are vast, its accounting is poetic, and its signature achievement remains the Historic Chawal Accord with the Ministry of Biryani — a treaty which resolved nothing but is reprinted annually on good paper. Partners are expected to attend at least one event and comment on the rice.
Rice quantities are measured in "enough", a unit that has resisted standardisation.

A long-term programme to extend the estate in directions that have not yet been identified, for purposes still under discussion.

The Darbar Expansion JV exists to answer a question nobody asked: what if there were more? Partners fund the surveying of land the Darbar does not own, the drafting of plans for buildings that will not be built, and the commissioning of an architectural model that is widely admired and structurally impossible. Progress is measured in renderings.
The 490th kanal has been promised since the beginning and remains conceptual.

Chairman of Committees That Do Not Need to Exist
The Committee Formation JV is the Darbar's most reliable performer. Every unresolved matter generates a committee; every committee generates minutes; every set of minutes generates at least one unresolved matter. Partners oversee this cycle and are permitted to name new committees after themselves, their relatives, or an abstract virtue of their choosing.
Growth is exponential and entirely self-generated. We are monitoring this via a committee.
