Ministry of Chai and Hospitality
مہمان نوازی
Mehmaan Allah ki rehmat hain — and at 489Sharif a rehmat is not sent away quickly. Register a fictional visit and collect a ceremonial guest pass.
The Darbar's hospitality is enthusiastic, prolonged, and entirely voluntary on your part.
Article 002 permits the Hospitality Committee to say "Ek chai aur?" up to seventeen times. On the eighteenth it must step aside and wave politely. The limit is absolute and has been tested.
Every visitor is entitled to at least one unnecessary discussion concerning their future prospects. The discussion need not be accurate. It need only be delivered with conviction.
The Department of Emergency Biryani maintains deployable readiness at all times. A ceremonial requirement may be declared by anybody who is hungry and sufficiently senior.
Accompanying imaginary goats are received with the same courtesy extended to their owners, and in several recorded cases rather more.
To be unambiguous: nobody is ever obliged to stay anywhere. The joke here is the Darbar’s reluctance to let a guest go, never any suggestion that a guest cannot simply leave.
